Simple Ways to Increase your Internet Presence aka “Get Found”

Yes, internet marketing can be confusing and downright overwhelming for at times. Having a strong presence there is not only important, it can also be critical to the growth and survival of our business. The internet is the first place we go to look for a product or service. It’s where we research, read reviews and share information with others. It’s where our prospects look for us. Being easily found online for your business specialty does take a bit of work, but it’s not too hard and can be a lot of fun.

Here are a few things you can quickly and easily use to increase traffic to your site and increase your online presence and credibility.

Article Writing: 

Becoming the expert on your area or specialty writing articles can come from

and posting them to various websites that will allow you to place your website address and contact information in the author’s bio section.  Here are some places to start posting:

  • Knol.Google.com
  • eHow.com
  • Hubpages.com
  • Squidoo.com
  • Articlesbase.com
  • Buzzle.com
  • Examiner.com
  • AssociatedContent.com
  • Technorati.com

Video: 

This one just keeps getting easier and easier all the time.  With cell phones having really good video cameras, there isn’t a time when we can’t shoot some video, post it to the internet and generate interested traffic. Video ideas:  the neighborhood of your newest listing, a tour of the home, testimonials from happy clients, community events, etc.   Here are some of the top video sites:

  • Viddler.com
  • HowCast.com
  • DailyMotion.com
  • Flicker.com

You can also find more on TubeMogul.com which is an excellent video syndication tool which I’ve written about before.  Note:  When posting your video to YouTube, you can add a hyperlink to your website in the description field by putting it first adding http:// in front of the www.

Podcasting:

 With MP3 players readily available it’s easy to see why podcasting is so popular.  Want to learn more about a topic? Just check out various podcasting sites and listen away.  This is also something your prospects can easily do
